71 Victoria Street

Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website that has been set up to share our current plans for 71 Victoria Street.

The site, previously an office block with retail units and a pub on the ground and basement floors is currently vacant, aside from one class E unit at ground floor.  Planning permission had been granted by Westminster Council to convert the building into a budget hotel.

The current owners then produced plans to bring forward a planning application for the demolition of the building to produce a higher grade of hotel.  Following extensive consultation with neighbours and Westminster City Council they are now bringing forward new plans for the site which are available to view on this website.

The latest plans will still be for a high quality hotel, but they will be retaining the structure of the existing building.  The high standard of Westminster planning conditions mean that retaining the structure reduces the carbon footprint and construction traffic during the proposed works. They are also reducing the number of proposed rooms to reduce the level of activity at the hotel and its impact on neighbours.  The plans have also been amended to prevent overlooking of nearby properties.

The hotel will still have roof top and ground floor restaurants, with spa and conference facilities.  Such facilities would be fully accessible to local residents and other visitors.

We want to know what you think before we submit our planning application.  So please take the time to look at the proposals on this site and provide any feedback that you may have.  If you have any queries at all let us know via the contact details.
